Kool-aid Play Dough recipe

Posted on: September 9, 2009

This is our all time favorite Play Dough recipe

1 pkg unsweetened Kool-aid (this colors the dough & makes it smell good!)
1 1/3 c flour
1/4 c salt
2T cream of tarter
1 T cooking oil
1 c boiling water

Mix together and knead.  If it’s too moise and sticky, then put in a sauce pan over medium heat and stir constantly until ball forms – maybe 3 minutes??  Then knead.

Store in zip lock bag.

You could make several batches using different colors of Kool-aid and share with friends.  We’ve given it for birthday gifts and it was always well received.  The kids love being a part of cooking their own play dough.

M 11 year old just made 3 batches of this play dough for her little sister, nephew and cousin for Christmas gifts. They’ll love it and she loved making it for them.
